I heard on the radio this morning that the firestation in town (Wasilla) will plant hundreds of little flags on the lawn. One for each firefighter, emt and rescue worker that lost his/her life on that day.
I was pleasantly surprised to head down Beaumont Ave this afternoon and see the street lined with big flags gently blowing in the breeze. It was wonderful to see.

I haven't heard what is going on in Anchorage.
