scrabble

We like to play scrabble. We seriously enjoy the game. Oddly enough we have never actually played it using the actual board and tiles sitting at a table. {we should try that,honey. Who knows, it might be fun. heh!} We play it while sitting at opposite ends of the sofa over a local network. We also play it while sitting in our comfortable chairs 16000 miles apart direct connected over the internets. I believe our favorite place to play is sitting in the coffeeshop drinking our lattes and playing the game on his PDA.

Last evening we did the latter. Headed to the coffeeshop after the kid left for his evening with his dad. Ordered our lattes and settled in. Bringing up the game on his PDA he makes sure to show me our last game. He kicked my ass! WTF? I am ready. I am going to win this time around. He needs to bring it.

Wait. What? I need to bring it? WTF? I am trailing from the start while we laugh and chat and drink our lattes. I accuse him of cheating. {of course I am kidding} He laughs at me. humpf! Towards the end I tell him that his game is rigged. That he has to have done something because I got ALL the hard to place, high score letters and no good places to put them. He laughs again. And tells me. "but I got the V." The "V" is not a hard to place, high scoring letter. It's worth what? 4 points. BFD there, my friend. I got the Q,Z,X,J and K! The 5 tiles that have the highest points.

Needless to say, I lost the game. {why do we say needless to say and then say it anyways?? heh!} That is twice in a row. His PDA scrabble game is rigged, I tell ya.
