huh?

You remember THIS post? And how there seems to be some sort of paranormal goings on within my computer? Well, it now appears that the paranormalness isn't limited to my computer.

Tonight as I was standing by the sink I noticed that the little red light on the answering machine is blinking. I ask my kid who phoned and his response is typically teenager-ish. "What? Someone called? I didn't hear the phone. Was that while you were in the shower??" Now how am I supposed to know this since I was IN THE SHOWER??? but I digress.

I listen to the message left on the machine. It is Rudy. He is done with church and heading over to the store and then to a party.

I pick up the phone to return the call and am wondering aloud how long ago he left the message as the message is finishing up and I hear the time stamp. The man in the machine loudly proclaims that the message was left at 9:16 PM. Thats cool, except that I have turned towards the microwave to determine how long ago the message was actually left and said microwave clearly shows the time being 8:42 PM. How is this possible? He left the message 30 minutes into the future???

I seriously need some ghostbusting in my house. What is next? Is the dishwasher going to put the clean dishes away? Perhaps the stove will deliciously blanket my house with the smells of freshly baked scones. Or the dryer will magically fold and put away the clothes??? Nah. My guess is that the next trick will be something totally useless but equally confusing.

Who'm I gonna call???

paranormal activity.. calls for a little house cleansing...
or some kind of cyber rats are out there...
though I do like the idea of the dishes getting put away before they're dirty... wait? how is that possible?
