Snarky.

Now there's a word. Not one I used last night in a scrabble game but still a word nonetheless. Nor was anyone playing the game in a snarky mood. It's a pretty good word. I like how it bites off my tongue as I say it. Fitting I suppose considering it's meaning. But I digress.

Last night was Scrabble night. It was fun. I am not sure when Rudy knew he was in trouble but it was probably about the time I used all my tiles spelling the word "jittered" for a grand total of 82 points. Not once, but twice. Okay, I didn't spell the word jittered twice but I did use all my letters on two separate turns and was rewarded both times with a grand total pointage of 82! {I guess technically the *grand* total would be 164 but who is really counting? Well, other than me. and Rudy. heh!}

I can count on one hand the number of times I have actually used all my letters on one word in a scrabble game. Well, I used to be able to. Now I get to use both hands to count them up thanks to my EPIC game last night! To use all the letters twice was just unbelievable. The fates were with me last night. {and no, they were not whispering the words into my ear. heh!}

As the game began to wind down and we had fewer and fewer tiles to choose from the unthinkable happened. My computer froze for a moment and then I look on the screen to see that "Rudy has left the game." Now. Since he is hosting the game and we ARE playing over the interwebs and he DOES live in frozenland where apparently the interwebs are slow and inconsistent, I figured he had gotten the big boot. Our game was over. Sigh. I was in the lead {how could I not be with 82 x 2 points} but we would not get the chance to finish the game. I pop over to the chat window and am surprised to find that Rudy is still connected and as we discuss it appears that when I got the message saying he had left the game he got the same saying I had. Well I SO did not leave the game, my friend. Why would I do that. I am winning! LOL!

I decided to take my next turn to see what would happen. I scored my points and was rewarded with more tiles. Wait. I only had 3 to begin with so where did the additional tiles come from? Oh. Rudy quit. I guess I get his tiles. heh heh! I continue to play until I use up all my tiles. Rudy does the same. For our last or one of our last words we both played the word "if." LOL!

Since I can't see his final score and he can't see mine we take screen shots and send them via email to prove our scores.

Mine

His

Personally, since I finished my game first and the screen shot thing was my idea I think we will say that MY screen shot is the true outcome of the game.

One might ask why.

To that I simply say.

Because its MY blog. *giggle*

p.s. life is just to short to be snarky.

p.p.s. Honey, I had a blast last night.

I had a blast last night as well, Honey.

Congrats on one heck of a high scoring game (are you sure you weren't in a chat with T getting coached? LOL)

My version of the ending goes like this. My 'puter was hosting the game so you left and therefore my final score is the official score bwahahahahahahaha

Either way, you played very well and had a great score. It was lots of fun (we must be made for each other) I had a grand time.

Can't wait to do it again. Re-match tonight? :-)

Lily,

yeah. what is up with the internets crapping out on me when I clearly chose to stop talking for 48 hours rather than give up my internets. So very rude.

That being said, at least we got most of the way through and my screen shot is clearly the one to go with in determining final score. *giggle*

The kid told me last night after hearing that I had gotten my second bonus for using all my tiles that he was never playing scrabble with me again. I think he was kidding since Rudy and I just got him interested in playing this past month when Rudy was here. We have played at least once since he left and he had a good time.

LMAO! re: words being whispered in my ears.

*hugs*

Rudy,

TY for the congrats. And I wasn't chatting with anyone but the kid and he says hes not playing with me anymore now. heh heh!

Your version of the game is obviously biased. What's up with that??

re-match tonight? absolutely!
