that I hate shopping?
A necessary evil, of course but GAH! I think I am allergic to shopping. At some point I noticed a slight headache. I was on the phone while shopping when I realized that I was wandering aimlessly. I wanted to blame the aimless wandering on the distraction of the phone call but it became fairly obvious that I had reached my shopping wall. I had to call the shopping on account of pure and utter exhaustion. Plus I was hungry.
The smells in the mall: Cinnabon. Pizza. Coffee. Cookies. I was even tempted by a hot-dog-on-a-stick {which did not smell cuz that would be bad} and I never eat those unless I am at the fair.
Then I made the mistake of going to check out what kinds of cheesecake they had. sigh. I love cheesecake. Seriously. Pumpkin, Chocolate, Something with walnuts {that might have been the pumpkin but I can't recall. heh} I know there were four dif kinds, one of them being original recipe. I discussed the nutritional values of cheesecake and applied them to my version of a healthy meal. Don't you judge me. LOL! I did leave w/o cheesecake. See???? I was shopped out and could not even think. Who leaves decadent cheesecake in the pastry case??
Only crazed, tired,
disoriented shopping haters, thats who!
disoriented shopping haters, thats who!
What you can't see behind the packagesis the complete and absolute
look of pain and disgust on my face.
I did leave the mall and made one more stop. While there I was able to using my limited reasoning processes and determined that if I did not stop somewhere and sit down and eat that I would not eat at all. My stomach was seriously growling but I knew that would stop in time.
While in my last store I made a pact with myself. If my current novel was in my car {which is where it usually is because I can't seem to concentrate on the story if I read in my house, but that is a whole other sordid tale} I would go to Islands {<-- click} for chips/salsa and North Shore Tacos. To make a long, extremely boring {yawn} story short I found the book in my car and went to dinner. mmmm. I am glad that I did as I completely enjoyed my dinner. I was lucky to get a very attentive waiter who only slightly freaked me out with his missing tooth. I tipped him well hoping that the extra will go to fix that in due time. I took home 2/3 of my tacos which were every bit as good as I knew they would be. I also took home 3/4 of the chips and salsa which will earn me big points, HUGE, with my kid who is currently loving his weekend assignment at the fire station.
I am seriously allergic to shopping. And I have to go back out. Today.
Please don't make me go back out.

I'm sorry you have to go back out Honey.
Be strong, get a latte. (Sorry I am not there to play scrabble or yahtzee with you over lattes - I loved those mornings)
The shopping season will be over soon.
I will have a drink with you tonight.
*muah*
someone once told me the only way she could shop was to smoke a giant sized joint first.
I for one, only get that particular need when I decide to clean the oven. The self cleaning gizmo broke and of course,. but now I digress - this is YOUR blog after all!
Shopping... I LOVE to shop... but only when in the mood, at least what? two three times a months or so...
let me be your personal shopper - a return on blog-meistering (is this a real phrase?) on my behalf!
next time you go the Islands please pick me the fish tacos... they sound yummy a couple of margharitas or a couple of SOLs too!
HUGS
