Thirteen Facts about Momma.

1. She was born in Nebraska in 1939. Today would have been her 68th birthday.
2. Momma was the oldest of 4 girls.
3. She always refused to call me by the nickname given me.
4. She was tripped by daddy in the skating rink before they met.{or she tripped him if daddy is telling the story}
5. Her youngest sister was offered payment {burger and a coke} to introduce daddy to momma.
6. She and Daddy married in 1957. They would have celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary in December of this year.
7. She and daddy honeymooned in the Brown Palace Hotel in Denver,Colorado.
8. She gave birth to 6 children. {2 children, both boys, died at birth or soon after.}
9. Her favorite flowers were the yellow rose and the purple iris.
10. Purple was her favorite colour but the grandchildren told her it HAD to be green because she loved frogs.
11. She was a voracious reader, specifically historical accounts.
12. She was very involved at Church and became the first woman {and only to date} to hold the Head Deacon position in her church.
13. Her love for life was reflected in her almost constant smile.
