Monday Mop-Up

  • The kid spent his first night at the station. He had his first fire as a vollie. He also had his first loss as they did not save the house. He is still flying high, regardless.
  • Painting one's self into a corner is rarely a good thing.
  • No visit from my daughter this weekend as planned due to an unfortunate flu onset.
  • If your friends would want to hang you for that one can only imagine what you have said to your friends. I guess everyone, at some point in their life, feels the need to demonize.
  • I knew you had to have a number. Everyone does. They may not realize it but they do.
  • Thank goodness for corded phones. Cordless isn't all its cracked up to be sometimes.
  • Craving a mojito means having to hit the grocery. How badly do I really want one?
  • That poor lady. She is probably getting tired of me phoning her. It seriously is not my fault. *giggle*
  • "Just go take that anger and do something appropriate with it. It's not mine. Good luck with that." Yeah. Sometimes its good to listen to your own counsel.
  • Karamel Sutra!
  • "Whatever's written in your heart, that's all that matters. You'll find a way to say it all someday." ~ Gerry Rafferty
  • The drunk driver who caused this has been convicted. Justice is satisfying considering what I could have lost.
  • Ice Road Truckers on the History Channel. I love this show!

First Karamel Sutra and then Creme Brule. Blondie, you are SO not helping! *chuckle*

I am glad the driver was convicted. I have to call the court tomorrow for further instructions as my burglar keeps postponing his day in court. Loser!

Congrats Boy-Child! First step into the big league.

Ice Road Truckers? Haven't seen that one yet. Must look for it. seems like the thing for a hot summer evening.

Good on the justice system.

Get the stuff for the mojito. Practice til perfect. I've never had one. ( the rum incident back in 1975 shudder!) Perhaps I'll be ready when October comes 'round!

No cordless phones in my house. I put back the hard wire the day I spent three hours looking for a ringing phone and couldn't find two of them anywhere. One... in the basement under a couch, the other, under a mattress in one of the off spring bedrooms. ARGH!
