Too often,
the thing you want most is the one thing you can't have.

Desire leaves us heartbroken, it wears us out.
Desire can wreck your life.
But as tough as wanting something can be.
The people who suffer the most,
are those who don't know what they want.

those who suffer don't know what they want.... absolutely true I believe as well.

Yeah... I've probably been worn out some too going for what I want. Desire is double edged sword.

The mind is said to be twofold:
The pure and also the impure;
Impure--by union with desire;
Pure--from desire completely free. - Maitri Upanishad

That's beautiful.

Yeah, I can certainly empathize with both parts of that. Wanting what you can't have - and not knowing what you want.

And just when I think I have the knowing part resolved, it usually turns out that I am denied what I wanted.
