"Is it just me being sensitive or is there an inordinate amount of male bashing going on in the blogsphere? Not only in the blogsphere, but all around me? Are we really so awful that we have to be hammered at every turn?"
Are men really being bashed at every turn or do women have a talent for hitting when men are already low? I know that I am guilty of bashing just as much as the next girl. I do it in fun, (its not my fault if you men are not laughing) not out of malice. If you take it personally, then I don't believe that my blog is the place for you. My bashing is all encompassing and yet encompasses no one in particular. I am always willing to up a rebuttal to any male bashing I may do on my blog. If you have something to say about my bashing, please feel free to submit it, whatever it may be. I did post a rebuttal last month in this post: Yeah, what she said. I enjoy the interaction and challenge.
What is male bashing ? Are men really bashed more so than women are by men or blondes or gheys or whomever by society? Perhaps it's that the person at that moment; feeling as if they are the absolute target, when more likely than not they are just the stand in. I realize it doesn't make it any easier to take if you are the bashee, but one could take a step back and realize that unless they have done something to the woman who is doing the bashing, that they are just listening to a woman vent in her own particular style.
Are men being bashed incessantly or was the statement above made by a man who was just in a bad space at the time he encountered the bashing? I know that I can in no way speak for all women but we really DO love you guys.
Seriously.

Well, I would guess that whoever wrote that, probably has had a "run-in" with more than one woman on a blog or in real life. Or perhaps, he needs to change the women, or type of women he hangs out with.
I do know of some women that are very "anti-men" (for lack of a better way to put it).
Just as there are idiots and jackasses out there in the men's world, there are bimbo's and bitch's out there in the womens world. I think a lot depends on the crowd you "run with"
It comes down to choice. Stick with the people you like, and you'll get to know whether the men/blond/polish/geek/jock statements they make are really meant or just in jest at the stereotype.
Not that there isn't a time or place, but life is too short to take everything seriously. Let's have some fun!
